Aerio requires all readers to use a specific ebook device or app to read a .epub file. Below are instructions on how to download and read an ebook with the most popular mobile reading devices:
Kindle Fire
- Purchase an ebook through Aerio
- Open the Reading Instructions automated email from Aerio
- Click on the green button “Download Mobi for Kindle”
- A window will pop up saying “Download complete!” with an option to click “open”
- Click “open” and the book will open in your Kindle
Kindle Paperwhite
- Purchase an ebook through Aerio
- On a PC or Mac device, open the Reading Instructions automated email from Aerio
- On the PC or Mac device, click on the green button “Download Mobi for Kindle”
- Save the Mobi file on your PC or Mac device
- Plug your Kindle Paperwhite device into your computer, with the USB cord provided with the device - a Kindle drive will display on your desktop
- Open the Kindle Drive and open the “documents” folder
- Drag the saved Mobi file into the Kindle drive “documents” folder
- Right-click on the Kindle drive and choose “Eject KINDLE”
- The Mobi file book will now show up on the home page of your Kindle Paperwhite.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E
- Purchase an ebook through Aerio
- Open the Reading Instructions automated email from Aerio
- Click on the green button “Download epub for iBooks/Windows/Android”
- The epub will download on your device and show up in the Notifications tab at the top of the screen once the download is complete
- Swipe down at the top of your screen to open your Notifications screen, and click on the epub that has completed downloading
- It should now open in your library of books under “uploads” - click on it, and it will open in the device to read
iOS Devices
- Purchase an ebook through Aerio
- Open the Reading Instructions automated email from Aerio
- Click on the green button “Download epub for iBooks/Windows/Android”
- The device will ask if you’d like to open in “iBooks” or to search for “more” apps - open in your preferred reading app
- Book will now display on your screen
